Woolacombe & Ilfracombe

After a damp cloudy start we set off in car towards Barnstaple and Woolacombe taking the scenic route via Croyde and Georgeham. By now the sun had come out so parked up near Barricane Beach at Woolacombe to have our picnic lunch. We sat on a bench overlooking the sea  watching the surfers riding the waves. We could also look towards Morte Point and the lovely cliff walk around the headland to Mortehoe which we have done many times in the past. After lunch we made our way to Ilfracombe parking by the harbour to show friends Verity and then by the capstan where we had a nice walk. Back to CL before going to The Cider Press the local pub for a very nice meal.
