  1. We are now at Aust on a farm CL very close to the old Severn Bridge. After 2 days visiting friends staying at Fairy Lodge CL in the beautiful village of Covington nr Higham Ferrers. From this site it will be possible to cycle along the new  sea defence walls/path to Avonmouth but work still in progress. Today we cycled from our site to the Severn Bridge crossing over on the cycle route. Then followed the cycle paths into Chepstow. After a coffee stop in town we cycled downhill to Chepstow Castle overlooking the River Wye. There were quite a few people out enjoying the sunshine and sitting outside a variety of places to eat overlooking the River. We sat on a seat and had our picnic lunch, spotting a seal hunting for fish for his! We then visited the Norman Castle perched High above the river parts of which date back to 1067 and is the oldest surviving Post Roman fortification in Britain. Well worth a visit. Then it was back to CL for tea and G&Ts!
