Wednesday. On CL situated in grounds of Manor House. After lunch drive in TC first we tackled The Shelf a narrow twisty road rising steeply with severe drops to one side. The road is gradually being reclaimed by nature and had Avery broken up surface

Our next challenge was Worlds End a route we did in 2002 when taking part in the MCC 1000 mile Centenary Trial. Again the road at times was rough and bumpy climbing up steeply from Minerva. We drove over a barren bleak moor to our right we could see Offas Dyke and on our left towering Eglwyseig Mountains. Our final drive was over the Horshoe Pass on the main road back to site.

Thursday Rain to start cleared  by 11 set off for Bwlch Penbarra in the Moel FAmau Park. Leaving a small village the road climbs steeply  before crossing a cattle grid and opening up to wide views. Avery tight sharp left hand bend and a narrow open road brings us to the summit. One of our best climbs. The car park at the top leads to a variety of walks with dramatic view towards the Snowden mountains.
