After the very strong wind and heavy rain  of yesterday today has been much better with sunshine and cloud. We went out in the motorhome to Penrith Castle built by the Pennant family who made their fortune from both the sugar and slate industries. The Castle commands sweeping views of Conway Bay and distant views of Snowden.
