Abbey Wood Campsite

The Caravan And Motorhome Club Site at Abbey Wood SE London is one of our favourite sites and one which we visit regularly when visiting London. The site feels positively rural with open spaces, mature trees and a good variety of wildlife together with excellent facilities, spaces pitches and very helpful staff. Within walking distance are good  railway connections into Central London (35 mins)  buses are also  within walking distance. On a recent visit to  the site we caught the train into Waterloo a central point for visiting the London Eye and Embankment area. There are various trains calling at Abbey Wood so its important to get on the right one! We caught the Charing Cross train which took us straight through to Waterloo. At other times we have wanted to go to the Tower of London area so this necessitates a change to the Docklands Light Railway.. A few stops down the line takes you to Greenwich which offers many fascinating attractions. From here its possible to board one of the many river cruises to as far afield as Hampton Court.
