P.O.A. Stoke Bruerne Rally

Sunday 12th August.  21 Motorhomes attended this popular Rally situated in the picturesque canal side village of Stoke Bruerne in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside. During our stay we had a fun evening visit to the Towcester Greyhound Track sadly we later learnt that our visit was to be  their last evening as the next day they went into liquidation..No we didn’t bankrupt them!!!!!

We went on a canal trip through the Blisworth tunnel opened in1805 2812 metres long and wide enough for two narrow boats to pass, it takes 25 mins to pass through and is  one of the longest in Great Britain. One evening 41members all visited the village Indian Restaurant which proved quite a challenge to the Indian waiters! there was a canal side walk to a very nice pub for lunch and on our final evening a  sausage sizzle organised by our Marshalls Jan & Pete & Julie and Peter. Big thankyou to them for organising this very enjoyable and friendly Rally.
