Corfu Town

Today was a free day but not until we had enjoyed a traditional English breakfast in our campsite restaurant courtesy of GB motorhome tours. We caught the bus into Corfu Town and spent the day exploring the colourful Old Town. Narrow three storey traditional buildings with small restaurant lined streets and some very inviting shops! Busy but not unpleasant we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. We walked down to the Citadel free as it was the 18th of May and all Museums have free entrance. We climbed the very steep steps up to the lighthouse with superb views of Corfu Town and Coast. It has been a hot and humid day so photos not so good. In the evening Izzie a group member cooked 10 of us a delicious chicken and rice dinner. With plenty of wine to accompany the meal we had a great fun evening.
