The Flying Scotsman

By on

On October 3rd  The Flying Scotsman Steam Train left Taunton to make the scenic railway journey to Plymouth. We went to Teignmouth to watch it pass along the seawall from Dawlish to Teignmouth Station onwards. Up to 2,000 people lined the route along the wall all awaiting the arrival of the iconic train. The train was due at about 18.20 so we all were standing cameras poised ready to take that special shot. We were not to be disappointed she steamed past whistle blowing in all her glory, but sadly all too soon it was over, the excitement calmed down and everyone started leaving, just as the sun was setting over Teignmouth.
