Beadlam Grange nr Helmsley

Arrived here yesterday after a long difficult drive lots of roadworks and heavy traffic. Good farm site with excellent farm shop and tea rooms. Lovely morning set off early todo Blakey Bank a steep climb out of Church House onto High Blakey Moor then on to Rosedale Chimney marked 10out of 10 in our greatest climbs book. Today’s route took us along narrow winding lanes with high hedges full of foxgloves, through pretty Yorkshire villages and hamlets as yet still unspoilt from development. After a successful climb up the Chimney it was back to camp for lunch. In the afternoon we tackled Boltby Bank and White Horse Bank at Kilburn both good climbs but lacking the spectacular scenery of other climbs.
